These people were all told that they could not go – we got them to Australia! Find out how:

40 year old Salesman with no skills
Case Background

These clients were told by one migration agent after another that they were not eligible for an Australian Visa. We suggested they could be nominated and found the best route for them to secure their visas. They have now set up their own business in Australia helping migrants to settle.

We would like to say a big thank you to you both for assisting us with our Australian Visa Application. We are now in possession of our Permanent Residency Visas and we are absolutely delighted. When other agents were unwilling to take on our case, stating that we had little chance of obtaining permanent residency, you spent time on the phone exploring every possible option available and found the best way forward for us as a family.

We appreciate your professional, friendly and personal approach to our many, many questions throughout the process of the skills assessment, STNI nomination and full visa application. It only took 4.5 months from submitting the initial skills assessment forms to receiving our visas; even the full application submitted to DIAC was completed in only 9 weeks. We know such a speedy and successful outcome would not have been possible without your help and advice. We will have absolutely no hesitation in recommending your services to others wishing to migrate. Andrew and Kathryn Thomas

These clients have now moved to Australia to set up their own business in the Mornington Peninsula helping other migrants settle in Australia. To contact them, just visit: www.accommodate-oz.com.au

Skills Assessment rejected
Client Background

This client was originally rejected by Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) for his skills assessment on a technicality.  The client had already gained an apprenticeship as a shopfitter – a specialization of Carpenter/Joiner which was not on TRA’s list in its own right. We proved to TRA that the underlying skills for a shopfitter were 90% identical with a Carpenter/Joiner and had their decision successfully overturned.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you sooooo much John and Kerry at Visa Unit for all you have done for us and helping us to live our dream, we couldn't have done it without you, so I hope you know how much we appreciate it. You worked really hard for us and put up with me for far too long! Now you are free!! Take care, and once again thank you both. Love from Sylvi and Dan, Robert, James and Jack.

Aged 18 - no experience and no sponsorship
Client Background
This client had an 18 year old “dependent” child who was in full time study at the time of the visa application, but at the time of the visa being granted, he had left his study.  We submitted information and analysis to prove that the child was still financially dependent and could therefore be included on his parents application.

Case Background - Wrong skills

When this client came to Visa Unit, he was already registered with an Australian Migration Agent who was advising him on Skilled Migration.  He was not eligible to apply and the retraining course he was recommending would not have been sufficient to enable him to change occupations.  After talking to Mark, we discovered that he was soon to be a “Last Remaining Relative” and after searching out all the family information about his distant relations to ensure he was eligible, we assisted Mark to obtain this Visa. Mark is now a permanent Australian Resident. Here are his comments:

Hi John, just a quick hello.I’m now settled in and I have been working offshore for 3 weeks on the North Rankin. I have 10 days left of my 28. Wages are ok and I have met 10 divers on this job. I’m doing data recording which is so easy. I have managed to get in with Geo Subsea and hope to work on Goodwin first week in Feb. Weather is been great and have just spent the weekend in Karratha on pay!! House I’m living is ok and the car works ok. Looking to buy soon but will let the market calm down. So all in all things are sweet and I'm learning the lingo. Thanks to you and Kerry, I have made the best move.
All the best, Mark.
