Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS). This scheme has been developed for Australian employers to recruit permanent, highly skilled staff from overseas or Australian temporary residents, when they have been unable to fill a vacancy from their own training programmes or from the local labour market.
Regional Skilled Migration Scheme (RSMS). The RSMS allows employers in regional or low population growth areas to fill full time, permanent skilled positions from staff overseas or Australian temporary residents. All areas of Australia are covered except Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Newcastle, Sydney, Wolonwong, Melbourne and Perth.
Skilled Independent Regional (SIR) The Skilled Independent Regional (SIR) Visa (subclass 495) is a three year provisional Visa, and applicants are required to live, work and study in the regional or low population growth area of Australia for the duration of their Visa. Applicants must achieve 110 points to seek sponsorship and can apply for permanent residency after 2 years and 12 months in full time employment.
